I knew this was a must win, it’s a playoff game for us. The rest of them are like playoff games. We had been on a losing streak for three games and we needed to snap it. We all just stepped up tonight. We did a great job, offensive line blocking, Rashad running, Eli getting us in the right formations, right play call, receivers making plays, and defense making stops. I think we did a good job at connecting on all levels tonight.
To be able to play against my brother, Jarvis, for the first time: words really don’t even do it justice. It’s truly a blessing. God has done a lot of things for us, to be able to put us in this situation. It’s something that I’m forever thankful for.
That last play, it felt good to not have to put our defense back on the field. We have the opportunity right now to take advantage. Let’s not leave it in anybody else’s hands. We have it right here in our own hands, our own destiny.
We’ll keep working on it. We got a big game this week against the Panthers. We have to build off this win. That adversity we went through enabled us to know what to do in these situations and actually capitalize. I’m proud of everyone for stepping up.
