Another week, a new tough test. Last week, we felt like we got things rolling offensively in the 2nd half, but it was just too little, too late. After three tough losses on the road we are glad to be home and to start setting things right. We know that we are on the edge of a hot streak and we are going to keep chipping away with the small stuff and things will eventually break our way.
We’ve had a bunch of key guys go down with injuries the last few weeks. That means we’ll have some young guys stepping into new opportunities to show what they have. It is hard watching your brothers not being able to go out on the field and play the game they love.
This week we are going against the Ravens. Every single match up is tough and we know that the Ravens and their top 5 defense will present its own challenge for us. The past couple of weeks we have seen a lot of the same defensive looks: 6 in the box with two high safeties. Teams are going to make sure that they don’t give up the big play and that’s what we are expecting to see this week. We’re ready to execute with whatever the defense throws at us this week. We have a lot of weapons, we just need to put it all together.
Practice was awesome this week. Eli did a great job of putting the offense in places where our skill guys can succeed. He’s incredibly smart with everything on the field and he gives us great chances to go out and make plays. I haven’t seen another guy who prepares week after week, day after day like Eli does. The rest of the guys were flying around practice this week, so I know we’re ready.
It feels like it has been forever since we played at home. We can’t wait to take the field at the Met in front of all of Giants Nation. Thank you guys for all your support and I want to see you loud and hungry on Sunday!!
